Autumn Watchers

I love how the composition has the focal point diagonal and slightly off center. Since the heads vary in size, they don't compete for the attention of the viewer - they're each noticed on their own merit. It's cool how the head at left looks away from the direction the viewer's eye traditionally exits at - it balances everything and helps keep our eyes in the photo rather than three heads directing us out.

The trinity of fox heads has a subtle mystical vibe for me because the first thing I thought of was Cerebus. Supercool!

I also love the color scheme - not sure if this was intentional, but the orangey brown, green and white are like Irish flag colors - so of course, I love that,, being biased toward all things Irish!

The contrast of the powerful form and distinct carving of the foxes against the soft curves, shadows and highlights of the backdrop is really effective. I love how the light illuminates the diagonal branch and the purplish tone of the shadows of the branch.
